I am a veteran tenth grade ELA teacher, a mother, and a wife. I am an avid Scrabbler.
My older daughter, who is adopted from foster care, suffered the stillbirth of her anencephalic daughter in April of 2016. She has bravely shared her story.
The second most read story on this site is the story of her daughter’s birth: https://cynicalchristianlikeyou.wordpress.com/2016/04/15/the-worst-best-day/
My younger daughter is profoundly gifted; she is my favorite editor, and she thinks of many of the blog entries’ last lines.
My husband of 26 years has had a bone marrow transplant for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. He subsequently got Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma from the treatment of his first cancer. He, too,tenth-grade grade teacher.
To follow the story of my daughter’s unplanned pregnancy and God’s work in all of our lives, start at https://cynicalchristianlikeyou.wordpress.com/2016/01/29/on-the-waving-of-the-checkered-flag/ and read forward.
If you know Eric Church personally, please thank him for saving my life with his music.
